Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Aethrix services ("Services"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
These Terms apply to all regions. Region-specific provisions are in Section 4.
2. Description of Services
Aethrix provides API testing, automation, and service simulation tools via desktop application (Aethrix Studio), CLI, and cloud services. Features vary by license tier (Community, Professional, Enterprise).
3. Accounts and Registration
You must provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for maintaining account security. Each region operates independently — an account in one region does not grant access to another.
4. Data Residency & Regional Provisions
Your account is created in a specific region. This determines:
- Where your data is stored
- Which laws govern your data
- Which support staff can access your data
- Whether data can move between regions

EU-Specific Provisions
- GDPR Compliance: Aethrix acts as data processor for your personal data. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) incorporating Standard Contractual Clauses is available for business customers.
- Data Subject Requests: You may exercise GDPR rights via the account portal or by contacting privacy@aethrixstudio.com.
- Breach Notification: Aethrix will notify you of personal data breaches within 72 hours as required by GDPR Art. 33.
- No US/China Access: EU region data is not accessible to US or China-based personnel or infrastructure.
- Schrems II: All transfers rely on EU-hosted infrastructure; no reliance on Privacy Shield or similar invalidated mechanisms.
Switching Regions
Moving an account between regions is not self-service. Transfers require legal review and are not guaranteed. China ↔ other regions may not be possible due to legal restrictions.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of your test cases, scripts, and data. You grant Aethrix a license to host and process your content solely to provide the Services.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: violate laws, infringe intellectual property, transmit malware, interfere with Services, or attempt unauthorized access.
7. Intellectual Property
Aethrix and its licensors own all rights to the Services, software, and trademarks. These Terms do not grant you any rights except as expressly stated.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Services are provided "as is." Aethrix disclaims all warranties. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law. Region-specific liability limits may apply.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. Aethrix may suspend or terminate for breach. Upon termination, your data will be handled per the region's data retention policy.
10. General Provisions
These Terms constitute the entire agreement. Governing law and jurisdiction are determined by your selected region (see Section 4).
